Major Savings and Enhanced Connectivity Mark a New Era for Field Operations

AUGUST 29, 2025 –

Project sites are undergoing a major upgrade in internet access with the rollout of the new Quanta Services Starlink enterprise account. This shift builds on an ongoing transformation that has already delivered significant results for Valard.

Just two years ago, we were spending over $10 million annually on internet for field operations. Today, thanks to Starlink, that cost has dropped to just $300,000—a dramatic reduction that highlights the impact of this technology on Valard’s connectivity.

Over the past 24 months, Starlink’s satellite service has replaced costly, unreliable legacy systems with faster, more scalable internet. With over 190 dishes deployed, teams across remote sites now enjoy high-speed, low-latency connections that support real-time collaboration and faster project delivery.

As we transition into the new Valard account structure, we don’t expect delays in field service. However, new account setups and requests are part of the process. We’ll also be contacting teams with dishes outside the Canadian account to bring them into the new system—further improving cost efficiency and support.

This milestone reflects our commitment to innovation, cost savings, and operational excellence. With full integration ahead, even greater improvements in connectivity and project outcomes are on the horizon.
